SEAHAWKS: BREAKING: Team fills gaping hole at guard, signs Ben Hamilton

The Seahawks have signed ex-Bronco guard Ben Hamilton to a 1-year deal today, filling the vacant position left when Seattle traded Rob Sims.

Hamilton, 32, ended last season on injured reserve with what appears to be lingering affects of a concussion. He reportedly didn't fit well into the Broncos' new power blocking scheme installed by Josh McDaniels and basically lost his starting job.

Hamilton played under current Seahawks OL coach Alex Gibbs when Gibbs coached for the Broncos. The guard will likely act as a stop-gap player as Seattle rebuilds the line.
