MARINERS: BREAKING: MLB approves Cliff Lee appeal, will not serve suspension

Lee remains on the DL with a minor abdominal strain, but has been showing tremendous strides during recovery in the past week, throwing effective bullpen sessions with the training crew. “He is scheduled to throw a simulated game this afternoon and will throw a rehab start on Sunday, most likely in Tacoma,” Shannon Drayer reports.

Without any hitch or speed bump in the remaining recovery schedule, expect Cliff Lee to make his official Mariners debut in the first week of May.
