SEAHAWKS: BREAKING: Houshmandzadeh undergoes surgery to fix sports hernia

Seattle may be in a worse situation at wide receiver than what was originally thought.

T.J. Houshmandazdeh underwent surgery to repair a sports hernia he suffered last season. The troubling part of this type of injury is that sports hernia's typically reoccur, and don't have a definitive timetable for recovery.

The Seahawks have not announced an estimated recovery time for Houshmandazdeh's surgery. The surgery occurred last week.

The surgery has obviously pushed Houshmandzadeh, 33, out of mini-camp. Deion Branch is also absent recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery, which leaves rookie Golden Tate and second-year pro Deon Butler as the two starting wide outs.
