opt to join Seattle's
NFC West rival.
Charlie Whitehurst appears to be favoring Arizona, reports NFL Network's Mike Lombardi.
Two days ago, the Seahawks and Cardinals both offered deals to Chargers third string QB Charlie Whitehurst. Whitehurst said he would consider both offers and make a decision today.

The Seahawks currently have only two quarterbacks on the roster in Matt Hasselbeck and Mike Teel. Whitehurst would likely sit at the no. 2 quarterback spot if he chooses Seattle.
The Seahawks also brought in ex-Browns QB Derek Anderson and there's a good chance Seattle will settle with Anderson if Whitehurst decides to go with Arizona.
