A three-day relaxing break may be what the Mariners need to regain their throne atop the AL West. Heading into Thursday’s game, they are a mere four games behind the leading Angels. First, they must face the Indians for a four-game series.
Game one - 4:05 p.m. July 16
Starters:
Seattle - Garrett Olson (3-2; 4.42 ERA)
Cleveland - Cliff Lee (3-9; 3.47 ERA)
The reigning AL Cy Young award winner, Lee has lost his last three starts, so the M’s may be able to get to him for the win to start off the series if all things go right.

Game two - 4:05 p.m. July 17
Starters:
Seattle - Felix Hernandez (9-3; 2.53 ERA)
Cleveland - Tomo Ohka (0-3; 6.40 ERA)
Coming off a scoreless inning at the All-Star game, Hernandez will start off the Mariners feared one-two-three punch once again. Dueling King Felix will be another righty, Ohka, who is still trying to crack a permanent spot in the rotation.
Game three - 4:05 p.m. July 18
Starters:
Seattle - Jarrod Washburn (6-6; 2.96 ERA)
Cleveland - David Huff (4-3; 6.71 ERA)
Owner of a new pitch called "the dolphin," Washburn hopes to continue his surprising success in the second half of the season. Yet another lefty will be the Indians' Huff, who seems to be the only Cleveland pitcher that actually gets run support.
Game four - 10:05 p.m. July 19
Starters:
Seattle - Erik Bedard (5-2; 2.63 ERA)
Cleveland - Aaron Laffey (3-3; 4.24)
Finishing off this series will be the M’s Bedard, who has struggled with injuries despite his success. The Indians will bring Laffey, another lefty, to the mound. Laffey has been one of a few successful pitchers for the tribe this season.
