SOUNDERS FC: Playing away from home

Results away from home are important for clubs pushing for the post season. Seattle Sounders FC will travel the most out of any MLS team this season, but only face a short trip south to Los Angeles, Calif. Saturday April 18.

The Home Depot Center
saw mixed results during the 2008 season from Chivas USA, where the club only had five shutouts in 18 games. This post continues to look at Sounders FC opponents and their form at home.

Chivas USA are top of the league in 2009 and have only allowed 2 goals in four games. In 2008, Chivas USA scored 25 goals and allowed 19 goals in 18 games at the Home Depot Center.

The smallest attendance of 2008 was 4,763 for SuperLiga match against the New England Revolution. The Home Depot Center was sold out for Chivas USA's 2-2 draw against the L.A. Galaxy, where 27,000 fans attended the game.

Chivas USA lost and drew five games at the Home Depot Center in 2008 with an average attendance of nearly 15,000 people.
