SOUNDERS FC: Nkufo headed out of Seattle

In an unexpected announcement, the Sounders have reportedly cut ties with forward Blaise Nkufo. Details of the untimely announcement were not immediately released, but some have speculated that Nkufo was unhappy with the style of play Head Coach Sigi Schmid demanded of him.

Sounders officials are working out the details of Nkufo’s contract, which may include being traded. Nkufo has family in Vancouver, which could end up being a landing spot if the Whitecaps are interested. Read the full release here.
