SEAHAWKS: Leroy Hill suspended for season opener


Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill was suspended for one game by NFL officials, for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, which will prevent him from playing the season opener September 12th at Qwest Field. In addition, Hill will be penalized a salary deduction equivalent to one game.

Hill pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of drug possession this past April, and is currently facing assault charges in Issaquah which is currently proceeding toward trial. The NFL will review these charges once the trial ends, which could expel Hill further from the league and joining the team.
