Martin was an undrafted free agent out of Saginaw Valley State University in 2004. The Chargers picked him up shortly after the draft and cut him four months later before the season began.

Green Bay signed him the next season and placed him on the practice squad for 2005. Martin went on to start nine games in three season for the Packers.

At 6-4 and 220 lbs, Martin is the largest WR on the team.
