Seattle, riding a five-game win streak, will welcome home another Mariner legend in eight-time All-Star Ichiro Suzuki, who will make his 2009 debut against the Angels after a two-week stint on the disabled list.
You may not recognize him, as he will not be donning his usual no. 51 across his back. Instead all MLB players will be wearing no. 42 in honor of Jackie Robinson, who broke the color barrier 62 years ago today.

Standing on the mound for the AL West leading Mariners will be LHP Jarrod Washburn (1-0; 0.00 ERA; 4 SO) who will be making his second start of the season. In his debut, Washburn pitched eight scoreless innings to get the win against the Minnesota Twins.
Fans can expect to see a fastball and a change-up fly out of the veteran's hand. Washburn needs one more win to be even at 100 wins and losses for his career.
The Angels will bring in the young RHP, Jered Weaver (1-0; 0.00 ERA; 8 SO) who is coming off an emotional start when he only allowed four hits in the honor of his former teammate, Nick Adenhart who was killed in a car crash last week.
Weaver's fastball is said to be his bread-and-butter pitch but he also has a slider, changeup and curve ball in his arsenal. He uses them all to fool hitters. He occasionally throws side-arm.
Interim leadoff hitter Endy Chavez, who has a team leading .394 batting average and 3 stolen bases, will likely bat either second or ninth with Ichiro's return.
