MARINERS: Felix makes lone start before World Baseball Classic

_
Making his first and only spring training start before the upcoming World Baseball Classic, Felix Hernandez allowed four hits in two innings of work against the San Diego Padres on Thursday.

The Mariners ace needed just four pitches to get through the first inning and allowed a two-run home run in the second. The game ended in a 4-4 tie after 10 innings.

Hernandez will travel to Orlando, Fla., on Sunday to train with Venezuela before starting the team's WBC opener March 7 against Italy.
