Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has been named the NFL's Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
He led touchdown drives of 97 and 80 yards to win Seattle's second road game of the season.
Wilson was the first Seahawk to win the award since Shaun Alexander in 2005.

Student wins private assembly for his classmates
WHO: Sounders
FC defenders Marc Burch and Andrew Duran, members of the band Sound
Wave, representatives from Dairy Queen and approximately 200 students
from Highland Park Elementary School
WHAT: The players and band will participate in an assembly for students from 3rd-5th
grades. Players will share tips on health and fitness, compete in a
soccer dribbling contest and present the school with an autographed
Sounders FC jersey.
WHY: Highland
Park student Alex Davis' entry was randomly selected for the school
assembly as part of the Sounders FC/Dairy Queen "Just For Kids"
promotion.

Sounders FC Forward Eddie Johnson Named 2012 MLS Comeback Player of the Year

RENTON, WASH.
- Major League Soccer today announced Seattle Sounders FC forward Eddie
Johnson was voted 2012 MLS Comeback Player of the Year.

Johnson
finished sixth in the Golden Boot race with a club record 14 goals, and
added three assists. The U.S. international playing his first season
for Seattle appeared in a career-high 28 matches and helped Sounders FC
reach the Western Conference Championship for the first time in club
history. He also led the league with nine header goals, and added three
goals in outside competitions.

- Robbie Keane had two goals and an assist as Sounders FC fell, 3-0, to
the LA Galaxy in the first leg of the Western Conference Championship
at the Home Depot Center. The series concludes next Sunday in the second

- Sounders FC advanced to the Western Conference Championship for the
first time in franchise history with a 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake in
the second leg of the Western Conference Semifinal at Rio Tinto Stadium.
Mario Martinez scored the game's lone goal, giving Seattle a 1-0
aggregate win after a scoreless draw in the first leg.

Burch issued a statement apologizing for the comment.

Sounders FC Visits Real Salt Lake in Second Leg of Western Conference Semifinal

Seattle
Sounders FC will look to advance to the Western Conference Final for
the first time in club history on Thursday night in the second leg of
the semifinal series with Real Salt Lake. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
PT at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah.
The
match will be the second of the two-game aggregate goal series. The
sides finished level at 0-0 on Friday night at CenturyLink Field, so
Seattle must win on Thursday to advance. If the aggregate score is tied
after 90 minutes, the teams will play a 30-minute overtime period
followed by penalty kicks, if necessary.

night in the first leg of the Western Conference Semifinals on the Xbox
Pitch at CenturyLink Field. Goalkeepers Michael Gspurning and Nick
